Welcome to Weekend Whatever #40

There is a phenomenal world of bloggers out there that have God-given gifts, talents, and passions to share. I love reading about what others have been working on, what’s cooking in their kitchens, and what’s stirring their hearts. Thank you for joining us!

Hosting this link up is:
Sara of Your Thriving Family
Justyn from Creative Christian Mama
Joanie at Simple Living Mama
and me from Whole Intentions :)

You can read and link up at any of our blogs. We will each be featuring one post from the previous week as well as tagging and tweeting you! Be sure to head over to all the hosting blogs to see their featured posts as well.

This week’s featured post:

This week’s featured post is from Steph at Good Girl Gone Green who shares with us a delightful remedy for that apple pie craving that’s sure to hit any day now that fall is in the air. Her Apple Pie Smoothie is simple and looks delicious! It would be super easy to soak the oats a bit longer to really help with digestion, and stevia would be a cinch to use in place of the natural sweeteners if you’re looking for a sugar-free option. Definitely on my list to try!

If you were Featured this week you have been tagged and or tweeted!

Please link up posts on Marriage, Parenting, Frugality, Homemaking, Homesteading, Crafting, Christianity or whatever else you have been walking through!

Please share only HEALTHY recipes (i.e. no white flour/sugar, artificial ingredients), keeping in the spirit of transitioning to REAL, WHOLE FOODS.

  • Be sure to grab the button on the side bar and link back here.
  • Please share or tweet this post and visit at least two other blogs.
  • Link the specific post URL only.
  • You may post up to three links per week.

At Your Thriving Family we are having a party and a giveaway for those attending!  We also have a few others coming up over weeks ahead.  I’ve also been learning to put the family first, so we’ve been a bit quiet around here recently.

At Creative Christian Mama, we’ll be learning how to establish a homemaking routine and more on natural remedies for colds (part one, here!).

Simple Living Mama will be sharing how she prepares her pregnancy tea and what she thinks are the best books for preschoolers! Also look for another pregnancy update!

Whole Intentions has heard your cry for more candida-diet safe recipes. This week Paula’s bringing you one of her favorite one-skillet meals. Keep an eye on the specials in the sidebar – there are new coupons, giveaways, and specials listed each week!

I’m Paula - like many of you I wear a lot of hats. Child of God, wife of 18 years, mother of five, reluctant cook, full-time teacher, chocolate-snatcher, and children's author. Various family health issues including Lyme disease and candida has turned me into a 'researcher'. I don't have initials after my name, a degree in anything but motherhood, or a framed certificate on my wall. What I do have is a passion for understanding how our God-created bodies thrive or deteriorate based on what we put in it. Oh, and I also might mention homesteading, homeschooling, fitness, herbs, faith, and anything else I'm thinking about. . . like wow, I need to refill my tea. . .
